Chapter 9:
Temples of Earth: The Death of Sphrium
Eclipse if coming near and they are on the 2nd month of their travel on every temples to retrieve the books of Bahamuth from each Elemental Temples.
They have been traveling on woods for days and yet they cannot find the Earth Temple.
Himeno wondered if they are lost but Seaver said, the temple is nearby. They camped for the night at the edge of a river.
At that night... every one is asleep except for Seaver. He was looking at the full moon. Then Jyosei asked him if he is going. He just replied with a smile and slowly disappeared into the darkness.
It was that time also that Jyosei discovered Himeno was missing at her bed.
Earth Temple... The earth Avias paid respect to the temple guardian who happened to be Seaver himself. A Protector Avia heared a ruckus on the shrubs and he caught Himeno.
Himeno was presented to Seaver who was surpised. The earth Guardian asked her why she followed him and she told him that she wanted to see how does the temple of the earth looks like.
Seaver just just laughed at HImeno's childish reply and took her to the Purification Falls.
Himeno was surprised to see a woman who looks like Seaver and asked him if that woman was Seaver's sister or relative. Seaver said that the woman was his soul. He has the ability to separate his soul from his body and appear as another person thus he can perform his duty as a temple keeper and Sacred Aviator at the same time.
Himeno thought of it as a wonderful power, but Seaver told her that it is dangerous. If any his body or soul is destroyed, he will die.
It was then they both realized that they are already surrounded by dark aviators who was headed by a thunder aviator named Gairado and claiming the Book of the Bahamuth.
A critical attack killed the Soul of Seaver who covered Himeno caused him to die and disappear. It was the disturbing noise of the woods noticed the other Sacred Aviator to rush over to the Earth Temple but it was too late. Seaver is already dead lying on the arms of Himeno who was crying.
Varjyah sworn vengeance against Gairado and pursued him but escaped.
