Chapter 7:

Temple of Fire: Fury and Vengeance

It has taken them almost a week before reaching the Land of Augu, which is also known for active volcanoes. This Land is said to be protected by the Aviators of Fire living in the temple.

They decided to rent an inn where they will stay for the night.

Seaver, aware of Jyosei's past, talked to him and asked him what will be his plans for the next morning.

Jyosei had once a fight with his father, the king of Augu and Temple Keeper of Fire. It happened hundred of years ago because of a woman whom the prince loved but was not approved by his father for he is next in line to throne and he is only to be married to another royal family.

Lunamaria was that woman, a simple citizen on Augu. on the night they fled, she was killed by the king's guards by accident and thus resulted the retaliation of Jyosei against his own land and promised never to set his feet again at that place.

At that night, Jyosei sneaked out to get the book all by himself at the temple to realized that Himeno was following him. He scolded the young girl but instead, she insisted to come for she wanted to see the temple herself and besides she is the Holy Guardian after all.

At the gates of the Temple, they were confronted by the fire aviators telling that outsiders are not allowed to enter the temples in the order of the king.

Jyosei insisted to continue ignoring the aviators who immediately attacked them. Upon seeing Himeno got scratched by a fire attack, he furiously released the Asura Dragon causing the aviators to stumble upon his presence.

It was then the Temple Keeper appeared and told them that they have no chance of winning against a Sacred Aviator, especially having the Holy Guardian on his side.

The Aviators soon realized that the stranger is actually the Sacred Aviator of Fire.

Temple Keeper Jyoroku asked forgiveness to Jyosei who still stared straight tohis father telling him he is unforgivable, that he had ruined his life for hundreds of years and only his death can pay him back.

Jyoroku gave Himeno the book of the fire temple, and there Himeno found a note in it.

A letter actually which is written hundred of years already. She gave that to Jyosei who realized that it was a letter from Lunamaria asking forgiveness for she is already in love with somebody else, and cannot continue to love him anymore.

Jyoroku told Jyosei that he really did kill Lunamaria to save him from her being killed. it was a plan all along to kill the the prince so that the king will be weakened and Lunamaria's lover can replace them on the throne.

Tears fell on Jyosei's eyes, realizing he made a mistake for hating his father for hundreds of years believing that they were not approved for Lunamaria was just only an ordinary Aviator.

Himeno embraced and comforted the her Aviator. Jyoroku saw a thing he never see for thousands of years already. Love.

Jyosei and Himeno waved goodbye to Jyoroku who requested a visit from the two of them often.

Seaver welcomed Jyosei back and said that he is now a new person. He is not the Vengeful Varjya he had known for hundreds of years anymore but a Varjya filled with love and passion, the he smiled to Himeno who was curious what was Seaver was talking about.
